  • If you use Microsoft Teams to facilitate collaboration on projects, then you most probably appreciate the importance of task management within your workflows. Fortunately, Teams requires no third-party app integration to help with this aspect of your work.

That’s because Microsoft Planner, which boasts extensive Office 365 integrations, is available to Teams users. Recently, the app got an update for Teams that lets you copy plans into existing groups or teams.

    Microsoft Teams plans update

Microsoft Planner is something of a to-do app that you can use with Office 365 tools, such as Outlook or Teams. And according to a Microsoft 365 Roadmap entry, the app now offers the ability to copy a plan in an existing group in Teams.

You will be able to select an existing group or team that you’d like to copy an existing plan into. You will also be able to select what should be copied over from the original plan.

The update enables you to quickly get started on your plans within Teams. So now you can simply pick any existing group or team into which you wish to copy a plan.

Moreover, you don’t have to copy the entire plan because Microsoft Planner allows you to choose specific items.

The integration of Microsoft Teams and Planner is one of the most natural in Office 365, considering that the two are project/task management tools. Even before this update, you could create new plans or view existing ones in Teams. You could also add existing plans in channels.

But with the copy update, you may now quickly replicate a plan across a team. The copied plan includes all the pertinent information on tasks, including late, in progress, and completed assignments.
