    This method will show you how to disable the User Account Control feature from within the Control Panel you have in Windows 10.

  • Left click or tap on the “Start” button to open it.
  • In the search box present there you will need to write the following: “Control Panel” without the quotes.
  • After the search is finished you will need to left click or tap on the “Control Panel” icon that shows up.
  • Now that you have in front of you the Control Panel window you need to open the “User Accounts and Family Safety”
  • In the “User Accounts and Family Safety” feature you will need to open the “User Accounts” feature.
  • Now you will need to left click or tap on the “Change User Accounts Control settings” link situated under the “Manage another account” feature.
    Note: You can also do it by left clicking on the “Start” button and typing the following “uac s” and opening the “Change user account control settings” icon.
  • In the next window that shows up you will get a slider situated on the left side in the window that shows in the upper side “Always notify” and in the lower side “Never notify”.
  • Left click on the slider to the “Never notify” all the way to the end in order to disable the UAC feature.
  • Left click on the “OK” button and close all the windows you opened so far.
  • The next time you install an app you can see if the User Account Control window pops up or not but if you have it on “Never Notify” it should prompt you for anything.

  • Press and hold the “Windows” button and the “R” button.
  • You should have in front of you the “Run” window.
  • In the “Run” window you need to write the following: “regedit” but without the quotes.
  • Press the “Enter” button on the keyboard.
  • You now have in front of you the “Registry Editor” window.
  • On the left side pane left click to open the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” file.
  • In the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” left click to open “Software” folder.
  • In the “Software” folder left click to open “Microsoft” folder.
  • In the “Microsoft” folder left click to open “Windows”.
  • In “Windows” folder left click on “CurrentVersion” folder.
  • In “CurrentVersion” folder left click to open “Policies” folder.
  • In the “Policies” folder left click on “System”
  • Now on the right side pane double-click to open the “EnableLUA” DWORD.
  • Under the “Value Data” field modify the value and put it to “0”.
  • Left click on the “OK” button in the window.
  • Close the Registry Editor window.
  • Reboot the Windows 10 operating system.
  • Try and see if your UAC has been disabled.
