Gears 5 is the latest entry in the Gears of War game series.

It comes with plenty of new features for players to enjoy, but also plenty of new issues.

While most of the attention at launch was directed towards the bugs and connectivity issues, there were some issues that were just plain game-breakers.

Such would be the case with bullets that seem to be attracted to enemies when you fire them.

Why do bullets always hit the enemy?

Players have been reporting and even posting videos on the Gears 5 forums discussing how serious this issue is.

As the video would show, aiming your cross-hair right next to an enemy will still register your shots as hitting them.

While this may have a logical explanation when it comes to shotgun-type weapons, the issue seems to happen with pretty much every weapon in-game.

It is not currently clear whether this is an enemy hitbox issue, or ammo scatter issue, but whichever the case, it is a serious issue.

What does bullet magnetism mean for Gears 5?

Having problems with the shooting mechanics is a fundamental blow to a player’s gameplay experience.

This is especially the case given that Gears 5 is a FPS title down to its core,

This makes the already unbalanced multiplayer matches to feel all the more unbearable, as players that cannot aim will be just as good as those who can.

Players are already unhappy with Gears 5’s ranking system, so taking away the skill requirements in matches won’t make things any better.

In their defense, The Coalition has been actively releasing patch after patch to solve this issue.

As such, it isn’t hard to imagine that they will address this serious game-breaking issue soon enough.
