Windows OS users have the option to customize the complete look of their computers. The customization option also includes downloading and installing third-party fonts on their computer. However, at times these adventures can go wrong and you may end up with completely changed fonts on the web browser making it extremely difficult to read or write.
So, you may be wondering why your browser font is so small? Or why it’s not the same. Well, read on to learn how to fix this by following our troubleshooting guide.
Why is my browser font messed up?
1. Switch to a different browser
If you’re unable to resolve the problem with fonts with the first two solutions and can’t be bothered to dig dip into registry fixes, try switching the browser. The browser that we can wholeheartedly recommend is Opera.
Opera can do everything Chrome can, but adds another layer of privacy and safety for all users that care about anonymity and security when online.
As for the font issue, Opera has a much deeper ability to be customized. This includes arranging UI elements and extensions, all so that you can benefit from a totally 100% personalized experience.
Speaking of which, since Opera is Chromium-based, it can use the same extensions as Chrome. As such, any font extensions will work on Opera without an issue as well.
2. Delete the problematic font

3. Check for Windows Update

4. Change Windows Fonts Manually
Note: Before changing the font, please create a System Restore Point. Here is how to do it.

Find the Font you want to use

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionFonts] "Segoe UI (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Bold (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Bold Italic (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Italic (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Light (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Semibold (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Symbol (TrueType)"="" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionFontSubstitutes] "Segoe UI"="Agency FB"

Revert the Changes
Follow these steps to revert the changes you made to the system fonts above.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionFonts] "Segoe UI (TrueType)"="segoeui.ttf" "Segoe UI Black (TrueType)"="seguibl.ttf" "Segoe UI Black Italic (TrueType)"="seguibli.ttf" "Segoe UI Bold (TrueType)"="segoeuib.ttf" "Segoe UI Bold Italic (TrueType)"="segoeuiz.ttf" "Segoe UI Emoji (TrueType)"="seguiemj.ttf" "Segoe UI Historic (TrueType)"="seguihis.ttf" "Segoe UI Italic (TrueType)"="segoeuii.ttf" "Segoe UI Light (TrueType)"="segoeuil.ttf" "Segoe UI Light Italic (TrueType)"="seguili.ttf" "Segoe UI Semibold (TrueType)"="seguisb.ttf" "Segoe UI Semibold Italic (TrueType)"="seguisbi.ttf" "Segoe UI Semilight (TrueType)"="segoeuisl.ttf" "Segoe UI Semilight Italic (TrueType)"="seguisli.ttf" "Segoe UI Symbol (TrueType)"="seguisym.ttf" "Segoe MDL2 Assets (TrueType)"="segmdl2.ttf" "Segoe Print (TrueType)"="segoepr.ttf" "Segoe Print Bold (TrueType)"="segoeprb.ttf" "Segoe Script (TrueType)"="segoesc.ttf" "Segoe Script Bold (TrueType)"="segoescb.ttf" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionFontSubstitutes] "Segoe UI"=-
